This Under-The-Vine mower from Andros Engineering is a cost effective solution for those who want to mow a cover crop, right up to, and under the vine row. The adjustable spring loaded mower deck allows "up-to-the-brink" mowing on even the youngest vines. The rotating mowing deck gently wraps around each individual vine, cutting cover crop into the adjacent row, leaving the vine trunk untouched. Growing and maintaining a cover crop across the entire vineyard floor has proven advantages such as, erosion control and reduction or elimination of herbicide use. This mowing system allows the user to maintain this type of ground cover system in a cost effective manner. Mowers can be operated individually or in pairs. They use your tractors existing hydraulic system so there is no need for costly pumps, reservoirs and coolers. A comfortable pistol grip control makes it easy for operators to maintain cut height and safely avoid sensitive obstacles such as irrigation risers, moisture probes, etc. The low profile design enables the mower deck to pass under the dripper lines and low trellis wires with room to spare. Mowers can be mounted at the front, middle or rear of the tractor.
